Northern Sage is on the air!
Thanks to our entire membership, 2015 was another great year of volunteerism, adventure, fun and fellowship. I want to recognize outgoing Commodore Gerry Walsh for leading with wisdom and great humor. Kathy and I thank Gerry and Cindy for being such great role models.
Welcome to the 2016 Board members: Vice Commodore Duane Madinger, Rear Commodore Jess Schefstrom, Fleet Captain John Powers, Secretary Mary Schefstrom (for a second year), Treasurer Jim Pivarnik, Trustee Tim Loika, Trustee Bill Taylor and Trustee Tom Thurston. This is a team with experience and talent that can’t help but produce great things!
2016 begins like every year. January and February will be busy with planning the year’s events, cruises, speakers and seminars. Your input is not only welcome, but necessary to ensure that scheduled activities meet your needs. I look forward to another year of great activities, by land and by sea!
There are several upcoming events in January. The next Board meeting is on the 6th. Members are welcome to attend. The monthly general meeting is on the 12th and the Change of Watch (C.O.W.) is on the 16th. The C.O.W. is our annual formal dinner event during which the incoming officers relieve the outgoing officers. There will be a Master of Ceremonies and be assured that PTYC never lets formality get in the way of fun!
I wish all of you a great 2016!
May “Moored” always be a temporary status. Bruce Painter, Commodore
