John Dorsey, will be our speaker and will share his stories and photos from his journey traveling around the Great Loop. He and his wife Kim began the American segment of the trip in 2021 by shipping their Ranger Tug 29-CB to Virginia to start the journey. They completed the first portion of the loop (a 6,000 mile journey) in 2022. After completing the American loop, they headed north again to complete the 2,000 mile Canadian segment in 2023. When they completed both trips, they shipped their boat back to Tacoma to continue cruising with the Tacoma Yacht Club. John is a former Commodore and current member of the Tacoma Yacht Club.
