PTYC’s own Dan Newland (right) wins the 2015 T-37 Radio Controlled Sailboat National Championship Regatta held at the Seattle Yacht Club this past October 3rd. With 27 sailboats competing, it is the largest championship to date. The 2nd photo shows a race start heat.
Dan proudly presented the perpetual trophy/plaque to the Port Townsend Yacht Club at their October Meeting, as PTYC has been at the center of our local Fleet’s success. We now have around 42 boats in our local PT fleet and we continue to get even more.
“Our fleet, here on the peninsula has become one of the really hot and most competitive fleets around, always making a good showing at all of the regattas we attend.”
