Seeking volunteers for the PTYC Booth at the
Wooden Boat Festival
September 6th - 8th, 2024
PTYC has secured a booth at the Wooden Boat Festival. Our booth will be close to the Maritime Center and nearby the Sailing Association Booth. The booth will feature three main themes: Cruising/Social, Boater Education, and Scholarships.
We have at least two interactive displays to attract attendees to provide some fun at the festival - a full-size cutout of Captain Jack Sparrow for selfies and a large boat cleat to test or teach dock line skills.
A volunteer schedule with time slots has been posted on the PTYC website in the Calendar page. Just click on the date and highlighted Wooden Boat Festival and it will take you to the sign-up page.
For All-day Watch Captains, we will be providing a day pass for entry on your volunteer day. We encourage some volunteers to purchase their own day pass since we have just 7 additional day passes available for our shift volunteers.
