Commander of Indian Island, Robert Jameson, USN, to speak to PTYC November 11

November 11th, (Veterans Day) our scheduled speaker is Commander Robert J. Jameson,USN, the current commanding officer of Naval Magazine Indian Island. Commander Jameson will present the history of Indian Island, how and when it became Navy property, and notes on the type of ordnance stored on the Island. He will also discuss the capabilities and limitations on receiving and disbursing ordnance to a wide client base, as well as the environmental wellbeing of the island including the coastal zone. His presentation will enhance your perception of an area that many of you pass in your boat or car from time to time, that until now has been shrouded in secrecy, hear-say, and wonderment.
