The Adventuress is scheduled for winter maintenance in Port Townsend and in need of shipyard volunteers. You can join the Winter Work Weekends during December, January or February. Opportunities with shipyard maintenance can extend to the Summer Work Week in July and periodic maintenance days throughout the sailing season. Anyone is welcome, no shipyard/ maintenance skill required. They are happy to train you!
There are lots of ways to be involved in this group including as a Shipyard Cook, Volunteer Ambassador, Shipyard Interpreter and more.
Sound Experience, a 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit based in Washington states, whose purpose is to foster environmental sustainability, youth development, and maritime careers. This important work is conducted through powerful shipboard programs aboard the schooner Adventuress on the waters of the Salish Sea. Adventuress is a century-old National Historic Landmark tall ship.
