Howe Sound
PTYC members had a very productive two hours of Cruise and Event planning for 2023 on Oct. 29th with many thanks to Alice Tibbals and Jim Gorski who led the planning discussions. This article provides an overview of the cruising plans for 2023.

Our cruising year will begin with a Spring shake-down cruise to Bell Harbor, perhaps in conjunction with a Seattle sporting event.

We are working on a late May-early June cruise to Vancouver B.C. and Howe Sound with possible further ventures up the Sunshine Coast to Pender Harbor. From there cruisers may choose from optional destinations such as Princess Louisa/Chatterbox Falls, Desolation Sound, the Broughtons, or return via Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Some of these northern water cruisers may elect to ultimately join up with our PTYC traditional Reid Harbor 4th July cruise.

In great demand was a return of the Anacortes Arts Festival Cruise (festival dates Aug 4-6) and will include some fun Whidbey Island stops on the way to Anacortes.

In late August, the ever popular Hood Canal cruise to Pleasant Harbor will be combined with options to travel further south down the Canal to Alderbrook Resort and on to Twanoh State Park where cruisers might meet up with Club RV'ers for an interesting twist on cruising.

Look for a Fall cruise to be planned for waters south of Port Townsend in mid-September, destinations TBD.

Finally, we plan to resume the December Bell Harbor cruise for enjoying chilly days, festive holiday lighting, and best of all, warm camaraderie.

Watch for more details on all of these cruises in the weeks and months ahead!
