Adventures in the Sea of Cortez via trailered boat by Craig Muma

Our very own Craig Muma takes us along as he, his totally fun wife Marie, and their beloved dog Jack travel from here to Mexico and back while towing and cruising on their Cutwater, m/v Cruise On. Trailering your own boat to Mexico has lots of advantages, including splashing the boat in places like Santa Barbara, San Diego, and even Lake Powell.

You’ll enjoy Craig’s quick wit and entertaining storytelling as he shares their adventures in the Sea of Cortez (AKA Golfo de California) from San Carlos, Sonora to La Paz and back. Those stories will dispel any “misplaced myths and headline sensationalism that promote fear and anxiety about visiting our neighbors to the south.” Instead, they will instill enthusiasm and wonder about trips such as these.

The Sea of Cortez offers so much to explore and do. The people are amazingly friendly; the food is wonderful; the history is interesting, the topography can be breathtaking, and there are many serene and beautiful anchorages. Activities abound including fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fascinating hikes, delightful music, inviting beaches, and shell hunting – a Marie favorite.

The cruising community in Mexico is also wonderful and totally fun. They take care of each other, especially during regular morning radio check-ins that cover everything from health, boat and environmental concerns to great places to go and fun things to do.

Join us on March 14th at 6:30 PM for Happy Half Hour followed by a fun and delightful journey with Craig Muma.
